Hi-Cad UK’s Dave Penman reports the company has been awarded a two-year contract by BP Norge A/S to provide dimensional control management and surveillance services during the construction and installation phases of the Skarv FPSO and Valhall Re-Development (VRD) projects.The VRD project relies on skid (pre-assembled unit) methodologies developed in the Gulf of Mexico. Hi-Cad has delivered similar services with BP on Plutonio (Block 18) and GOM Deepwater Developments (Holstein, Atlantis, Thunder Horse and Mad Dog). The company was acquired by Intertek Group earlier this year.
